Day 6 – Programming for Success

Here’s another video from our partner, the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves. Today we are discussing stacking and human-centered design. Too often a project is approached with preconceived notions about what end users want or what is good for them, these issues can be the death of a good idea. What is it they say about the road to Hell? Paved with good intentions, it is.  Not only do these little devils cause problems for the initial project, they dirty the bathwater for any subsequent ones.

Pasqual’s intention is to approach the design of our project with an open mind, and to let the end users and their circumstances help dictate the appropriate solutions.

I think our cast has finally arrived, they’re in the back getting ready for their debut. Let’s get ready to give them a warm round of applause.

To be continued…
